What characterizes housings for LED tube fixtures?
As the name suggests, these are fixtures for LED tubes. In other words, you buy an enclosure that you can tailor to your environment. After all, these housings are available in waterproof (IP65) and non-waterproof (IP20) variants, and allow you to choose a LED tube with the desired specifications yourself. Each fixture specifically states the length of required LED tube and how many you can fit in the LED batten housing.
How do I install LED batten housings?
These housings are mounted against the ceiling at the selected light point (230V). This is done in just a few steps for both open and closed housings:
- Switch off the power.
- Drill the holes and attach the batten to the ceiling with screws.
- Connect the fixture's wiring to the power network.
- Slide your separately purchased LED tube into the fixture and turn it 90°.
- Click the shade on the closed LED tube fixtures.
- Switch on the power and you're done!
What is the difference between the open housings with or without reflector?
The difference between these open LED tube fixtures is solely the beam angle in which they distribute the light. Whereas the fixtures with reflector focus the light on a specific surface, for example a workbench, the variants without reflector ensure uniform light distribution in all directions. The open fixtures all have an IP20 rating, which means you can only use them in dry indoor areas.
