|Energy efficiency class||E||
The European Union has drawn up guidelines for energy labels for lighting. The energy efficiency of bulbs and luminaires is expressed in classes (A to G). Energy label A is the most efficient and energy label G the least. The energy label is also stated on the packaging of a product.
|Energy efficiency class old||A+|
|Average Lifetime (h)||30000|
The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.
This indicates which wattage of your old/conventional lighting is replaced by this LED product.
The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).
When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.
|Cap / Base||G23 (2-Pins)||
The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. In Ireland, B22 (Bayonet) caps/bases are still the most popular, although E27 (Edison screw) caps/bases are becoming increasingly popular. GU10 is the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.
|Colour temperature (Kelvin)||4000K - Cool White||
Light colour is also known as colour temperature and is expressed in Kelvin (K). You can choose from:
|Colour Code||840 - Cool White||
The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K).
|Colour Rendering (Ra)||80-89||
Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|Luminous Flux (Lumen)||403||
The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|Luminous Efficacy (Lm/W)||115.1||
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.
|Ballast||Conventional (EM); Mains (AC)||
A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). Fixtures with an electronic ballast (HF) don't have a starter. A LED driver can be compared to an electronic ballast and only works with LED lighting.
Because you can set the direction of the light yourself, a rotatable LED tube is extra efficient with energy. Moreover, the light does not shine around 360 degrees unnecessarily, as is the case with conventional fluorescent tubes.

Even better energy efficiency
This Noxion Lucent LED PL-S EM 2-Pin bulb offers even better energy efficiency than conventional energy-saving bulbs. It uses just 3.5 watts of power to replace a bulb that uses 5 watts, for instance. That means energy savings of another 30%!
More environmentally friendly
As well as being more energy efficient, this Noxion LED energy-saving bulb is also better for the environment because it doesn't contain any harmful gasses.
Lifespan of 30,000 hours
Another benefit the Noxion Lucent LED PL-S EM 2-Pin bulb has over a conventional energy-saving bulb is its much longer lifespan. In fact, it lasts up to 3 times longer and has a lifespan of 30,000 hours which means around 8 hours years of use if it's on for 10 hours a day! LED bulbs may be a little more expensive to buy initially, but the longer lifespan and excellent energy efficiency means a quick return on your investment.
Cool white - 4000K
This bulb has a colour temperature of 4000K and emits a cool white light that helps to keep people focussed and alert. Other colour temperatures are also available.
Suitable for fixtures with conventional ballast
This Noxion Lucent PL-S EM bulb has a 2-pin (G23) connector and is suitable for fixtures that have a conventional (electromagnetic) ballast.
