Philips Downlights
What are the differences between the Philips LED downlights?
Philips offers lighting solutions for many segments, making a distinction between 'Good', 'Better', and 'Best' fixtures. This also applies to the Philips LED downlights, which all provide good quality lighting, but have specific applications due to standard and optional specifications. Below is an overview of all Philips downlights. Which fixture is best suited for your building?
CoreLine Downlight (DN140B)
The CoreLine LED downlights from Philips are the ideal lighting solution for illuminating reception areas, shops, corridors, halls, and other transit areas. What makes this Philips LED Downlight so versatile in commercial environments has to do with the option of DALI (external driver; group of lights set as desired), the possibility of fixtures with an aluminum reflector, and the available light colours (3000K and 4000K). The Philips CoreLine is available in two sizes: 162mm and 216mm, with a difference in light output (1100 versus 2200 Lumen). The fixture is easy to connect because of the plug-in connection with strain relief (PIP). If you choose a non-DALI fixture with a built-in driver, you have the option of through-wiring.
CoreLine Slim Downlight (DN145B & DN145C)
The Philips CoreLine Slim LED Downlight is available in two variants: the recessed variant (DN145B) and the surface-mounted variant (DN145C). The great advantage of the recessed downlight is that only a recessed depth of 34mm is required to mount it. This is ideal if your building has limited space for installation, but you still want a sleek finish. The surface-mounted downlight is 55 mm high and can be installed at any time without problems. CoreLine Slim Downlights are available in 650, 1100, and 2100 lumen, whereby the recessed version can also be purchased with DALI. In terms of installation, you have to deal with a plug-in connector, but through-wiring is also an option.
Ledinaire Slim Downlight (DN065B & DN065C)
The Philips Ledinaire Slim downlights are the budget model of this A-brand, but they certainly do not fall short of the quality level that we are used to from Philips! The ultra slim uses a comfortable diffuse light surface, which emits a 3000K, 4000K or 3000 - 4000 - 6500K CCT light colour. You can choose between the 175mm variant (recessed or surface-mounted) and the 225mm variant (recessed), which produce a light output of 1000 or 2000 lumens respectively. Some applications of the Philips Ledinaire are corridors, waiting rooms, and toilets.

They are perfect for installation in offices, shops, hotels, and hospitals because of their high light output and efficiency (up to 132 lm/W) and glare control options. Be surprised by the professional Philips LuxSpace downlights! These LED integrated fixtures combine high efficiency and excellent lighting performance (uniform light) with visual comfort and design. You choose the glare level, mounting option, and/or shape yourself. After all, the downlighter has a round design for recessed mounting as standard, but can also be purchased as a surface-mounted luminaire or with a square design. In addition, the thin and narrow trim of the recessed models ensures perfect integration with the ceiling, which is ideal for stucco ceilings (plasterboard). The Philips LuxSpace downlights come into their own in offices, hospitals, airports, shops, and hotels. The models with Power over Ethernet (PoE) in particular offer an additional advantage for offices. Light settings can be adjusted as required via the smartphone app and built-in sensors record activity patterns and daylight levels, optimising asset management.
