Energy efficiency class | D |
i
Every bulb or fixture has an energy efficiency class A to G. Energy label A is the most efficient and G the least. LED lighting is the most sustainable lighting technique. Even if a LED bulb is rated E or lower, they still save 70% of energy compared to conventional lighting with the same energy label. Why is it the same label then? To motivate LED brands to get even more durable.
|
Energy efficiency class old | A++ | |
Average Lifetime (h) | 50000 |
Technology | LED |
i
The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.
|
---|---|---|
Replaces (Watt) | 58 |
i
This indicates which wattage of your old/conventional lighting is replaced by this LED product.
|
Wattage | 24 |
i
The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).
|
Dimmable | Not Dimmable |
i
When you dim lights, the full power does not have to be used. You therefore save extra on energy costs. Dimmable lamps can also be used to create an extra cosy atmosphere. Keep in mind that you need a LED dimmer to dim LED lights.
|
Cap / Base | G13 |
i
The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. In Ireland, B22 (Bayonet) caps/bases are still the most popular, although E27 (Edison screw) caps/bases are becoming increasingly popular. GU10 is the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.

Colour temperature (Kelvin) | 4000K - Cool White |
i
|
Colour Code | 840 Cool White |
i
The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K).
|
Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |
i
Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.
|
Luminous Flux (Lumen) | 3700 |
i
The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Lumen per watt | 154.2 |
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.

This filter allows you to refine your search by selecting specific types of light sources. Choose from options such as LED bulbs, LED tubes, or LED spots to find the perfect lighting solution for your needs.
|
LED Starter included | Yes |
i
You need a LED starter if the fluorescent lighting in your current fixture also contains a starter. In that case, you have a fixture with a conventional ballast (EM). A LED starter replaces your current starter and ensures that a LED tube works.

LED Tube Output | Ultra Output |

High Output - Gives higher lumen output vs standard tube
Standard Output - average lumen output Ultra Output - Highest Lumen out, ceiling must be over 4 metres High Efficiency - High lumen lumen / watt ratio Ultra Efficiency - LED tubes with best energy label (A + B) |
Length | 150cm |
i
The most common lengths for T8 LED Tubes are 60cm, 90cm, 120cm and 150cm. For T5 LED Tubes this concerns 55cm, 85cm, 115cm and 145cm. Switching to LED? Then always check the length of your current fluorescent lighting. Do you want to know more? Then read our blog!

MASTER Value series
The MASTER Value series by Philips consists of energy-efficient LED tubes that can be used as direct replacements for T8 fluorescent tubes in fixtures that have a conventional ballast. They even come complete with the starter you need. This tube is 150 cm long.
UO: Ultra output
While the Philips High Output LED tubes deliver lots of light, the Ultra Output LED tubes go a step further. In fact, they deliver 15% more light and this tube emits a total of 3700 lumens. If circumstances demand more light, therefore, this LED tube delivers it. Its Ultra Output means it's ideal for ceilings that are over 4 metres in height too.
Energy savings of 59%
One of the biggest advantages an LED tube has over a fluorescent one is its far better energy efficiency. This LED tube uses just 24 watts to replace a fluorescent tube that uses 58 watts, for instance. That means energy savings of more than 59% throughout its lifespan and using less energy means lower energy bills.
Long lifespan
LED lighting also lasts much longer than fluorescent lighting. While a fluorescent tube typically last around 10,000 hours, this Philips LEDtube EM UO Master Value tube has a lifespan of 50,000 hours!
Suitable for different areas
The Philips MASTER Value LED tube is suitable for use in a wide variety of areas including shops, factories, warehouses, offices and parking garages. It has a beam angle of 240°.
Cool white - 4000K
This tube has a colour temperature of 4000K and emits a cool white light that helps to keep people focussed and alert. That's why this colour temperature is often chosen for use in offices or classrooms.
