Philips CFL Bulbs
What are the different model series?
CorePro PLC: The CorePro PL-C LEDs from Philips are the perfect replacement for disused compact fluorescent lamps with conventional lighting technology. The bulbs with 2 or 4 pins are suitable for operation with conventional ballasts and guarantee high energy savings. Common areas of application are downlights that provide brightness in path areas (corridors, stairwells, other traffic areas). But also meeting rooms, hotels, bathrooms and general areas are popular applications for these LEDs.
Genie Esaver: The Philips Genie Esaver CFL bulbs are not suitable for emergency power, dimmers and electronic switches. The energy-saving bulbs are ignition-proof down to a temperature of -20°C and can therefore be used not only indoors but also outdoors in enclosed, ventilated fixtures. In most applications where the bulb is not directly visible, conventional incandescent lamps can be replaced by Philips Genie Esavers. In addition, the energy-saving lamps promise a very fast, flicker-free start and a constantly high luminous efficacy at temperatures between 10 and 45°C.
TUV PL-L: These Philips CFL bulbs emit UV light and thus have a disinfecting effect on air, water and surfaces.
PL-C Xtra: The Philips PL-C Xtra CFL bulbs are energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamps. All bulbs in this series can be used with an electronic ballast. The Philips PL-C Xtra are available with the colours 830 and 840 and in the wattages 18 W and 26 W. The Philips PL-C Xtra have either 2 or 4 pins. With a colour rendering of approx. 80 Ra, the energy-saving lamps are very suitable for use in general lighting (for example in offices and shops).
Tornado: Philips Tornado CFL bulbs provide exceptionally bright light and make colours appear more vivid. The compact design of this spiral-shaped CFL bulb means it fits almost anywhere, and you can save up to 10 years of energy and costs.
Note: Conventional CFL bulbs will be phased out soon - read more about the ban.
